Switch Serve
Every Sunday night we offer a Bible study called Switch from 5:30-6:30pm at RBC. Twice a month, we also offer Switch House from 6:30-8pm at the home of one of our students.
And now, we're adding to the family...
Introducing Switch Serve.
Switch Serve is an opportunity for rbcstudents to, simply put, serve others. We've agreed to help serve dinner at the Missouri Hotel on a monthly basis. So, the third Sunday of each month, we're heading down to Commercial Street from 3:30-6:30pm.
The fabulous Shaunna Wood has done all of the coordinating for us, and has also agreed to help as a sponsor for Switch Serve.
But we need an additional adult to go each time to help with transportation and also to serve alongside our students.
So...are you interested?
If so, contact Jessie at jstone@ridgecrestbaptist.org. If you've got more questions, feel free to comment below or email Jessie as well.
We'll look forward to hearing from you!

Party at the Bell
Hey, Parents!
We wanted to let you know about a new thing we're starting on Wednesday nights. We're having a "Party at the Bell" on Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:15 p.m. at Taco Bell, across the street from RBC.
We will offer a one-way shuttle available for non-driving students, in which we'll take one group of students to Taco Bell. (Students walking is NOT an option at all.) We will not, however, provide transportation back to RBC. Pick up time at Taco Bell will be 8:15 p.m.
We're excited to spend more time hanging out with students! Please let us know if you've got any questions!

PS. You are ALWAYS welcome to join us! :)

Just in case...
...your student missed out on this announcement (or forgot to tell you)...
We are offering FREE DNOW to the student that brings the MOST GUESTS to Broomball on Friday night.
Yep, that's right. Your student can win free DNOW for himself/herself AND for one friend if he/she brings the most guests on Friday evening. Additionally, the student bringing the most guests wins VIP status for Broomball which includes unlimited playing time on the ice and $20 at the concession stand.
Encourage your student to invite friends!
Broomball. Friday, February 17. 8:30-11:30pm. $10 each. Drop off and pick up at the FC.
Students should wear warm clothes (layers, probably) that are easy to play in. Also, knee pads are recommended, but not required. Helmets are provided, but if students have a bicycle helmet to bring, that's definitely helpful.
Oh, did we mention FREE DNOW to the student that brings the most guests?! Just checking...
Let us know if you have any questions. 417.887.2317. See you Friday!

Fundraising Opportunity!
Hello, Parents!
We've got a fantastic opportunity to tell you about!
Our annual Pancake Brunch is coming up on March 4, 2012, at 12pm in the FC. This is a great chance for your students to earn money for rbcstudents events like DNOW, CAMP, and Summer Missions. We will post the sign-up sheet for student and adult volunteers THIS SUNDAY, February 12, 2012, on the rbcstudents kiosk in the FC.
Please take advantage of this opportunity by signing up your student to work! Also, please be advised: we are asking anyone who worked the Chili CookOff to WAIT to sign up until we've given all others a fair shot. We'll announce when it's fair game for Chili CookOff workers to sign up.
Please let us know if you have any questions at all! 417.887.2317

Small Groups Tab
Hello, Parents!
Thank you so much for all of your feedback at the Parent Party last Sunday! We so enjoyed mingling with you and hearing all of your insights. In response to your input, we've updated the rbcparents blog with a tab called "Small Groups." Within that tab, you will find weekly recaps of the small group Bible study lesson, along with discussion points to cover with your students. We hope this is helpful to you as we continue seeking to disciple not only students, but families as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions! We're here to serve you!
