Yesterday was such a beautiful day! How many of you enjoyed the
beautiful weather as much as we did? We also got to enjoy spending time
studying God's Word with all of your wonderful students... specifically Numbers 22. We read
about the story of Balaam and how the Lord worked in weird ways to
communicate with him. Sometimes God does that... He works in mysterious
ways to tell us something or guide us in a certain direction. In this
story we see God use Balaam's donkey to communicate with him. God sent
an angel to kill Balaam to stop him from going down a reckless path.
Balaam could not see the angel, but the donkey could... after the donkey
had done everything he could to save Balaam's life, the Lord opened the
donkey's mouth and allowed him to speak to Balaam. A donkey speaking??
Crazy, right? It worked, though. Balaam realized he was heading down a
sinful and reckless path. After the donkey spoke, God opened Balaam's
eyes and allowed him to see the angel as well. He knelt down and buried
his head in his hands realizing what he was doing.
Maybe in your
case what you're doing isn't "wrong"... maybe it's just something God
does not have in His will for your life... With that said, we encourage you and your students to be open to strange
communication from God. Have a great week rbcparents!
